Quality and The Enviroment
Control, management and commitment to improvement
Quality management system
At the Top Form Group, we implement a quality management system that employs regular testing to identify our business requirements, needs, expectations, and planning. It also manages the risks and opportunities of each of the Group companies.
Starting with an initial development project, we identify how we want to manufacture the product and provide the service to each customer. Then, we develop strict controls, covering all the product development stages and considering any specific features.
In addition, we conduct a rigorous internal audit process on each of our departments and processes to identify and correct any deficiencies while respecting the environment at all times.
This exhaustive control process enables us to guarantee appropriate and reliable technical information, product quality, and compliance with customer requirements while simultaneously gaining insight into customer satisfaction and ensuring continuous improvement.
Tests that lead to success
All our products are subject to tests that guarantee their quality. The tests vary according to the application of each product. Therefore, we perform different tests for vertical and horizontal applications. We also carry out physical tests to obtain further information on the characteristics of each product. The following is a small selection.
HORIZONTAL APPLICATION
Abrasion resistance
The resistance of worktop surface finishes* to scrubbing and wear and tear with abrasive utensils can become visible when the material is subject to abrasion, leading to possible adverse effects.
Ball drop impact resistance
This test lets us determine the resistance of work surfaces and coatings* to impact.
Scratch resistance
To determine the resistance of work surfaces* to scratching, we subject the materials to different scratching pressures using three different samples. This provides us with resistance data for each sample. The final result is obtained by calculating the average value of the three samples.
*Work surfaces are horizontal surfaces on which any object commonly used in a domestic kitchen can be placed.
VERTICAL APPLICATION
Resistance to food products
We use this test to measure the resistance of surface coatings to cold food products commonly used in a domestic kitchen. After completing the test, we check the surface for any changes or discolouration.
Resistance to cleaning products
This test is used to determine the resistance of surface coatings to cleaning products. We conduct various tests to expose our products to a range of cleaning products. After completing the test, we check the surface for any signs of degradation or colour changes.
Bonding of coating to the core
The purpose of this test is to determine the degree of bonding between the coating and core. Once the coating is detached, we assess the dragging of wood particles from the core to measure the result.
PHYSICAL TESTS
Resistance of colour fastness to light
We use this test to assess the impact of light on our products for vertical application. As a result, we obtain their resistance to light without undergoing any discolouration.
Waste management
Waste management is a set of actions carried out to treat waste, spanning from the moment it is generated to its eventual treatment for recovery or disposal. Waste is considered to be any material that is no longer useful after being employed to meet a certain function.
There are three distinct stages that we need to complete in order to correctly manage waste:
Stage 1
Collect all the waste resulting from our activity and separate it properly according to the material it is made of.
Stage 2
Take this material to a waste classification or treatment plant.
Stage 3
Treat this waste for recovery or ultimately dispose of it.
There are many different waste products, but industrial waste is generated from the manufacturing, transformation, utilisation, consumption, cleaning, or maintenance processes involved in the industrial activity, according to Act 22/2011 on Waste and Contaminated Soil.
With the aim of preventing this waste from ending up in natural spaces and contaminating the environment, we are going to see how we should treat waste from our products.
Blue bin
cardboard packaging, boxes, paper, etc
Yellow bin
plastic, bubble wrap, etc.
Green bin
glass
Large materials such as cabinets, doors, worktops, and units should be taken to the closest local waste facilities, ensuring that all products end up in the correct recycling process.
If you have any doubts about where to deposit any waste, the Ecoembes Chatbot will inform you in which bin it goes:
Quality certificates
Endorsed by the most exhaustive European certification systems
PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification)
We are members of this alliance, which promotes sustainable forest management. Accordingly, we guarantee that the raw materials we use are sourced from sustainably managed forests.
FIRA MEMBER
We are members of the most prestigious European quality certification institute of the furniture industry. As FIRA members, we guarantee the quality of all the products we market.
FIRA GOLD AWARD
In recognition of our commitment, we have obtained the top award in quality for our laminate worktops. This certificate verifies that our laminate worktops comply with the highest European quality standards.
ISO 9001 Certification
We aim to offer the best products and services to our customers. As a result, we obtained this certification due to conducting all the required tests and controls throughout our entire production chain.
ISO 14001
It has become an international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system. The certification confirms our strong commitment to sustainable management and development. Our commitment to protect the environment includes all the different phases of creation, production and the distribution of our products.
